But Rises is interesting, because it's the only Nolan film to really make Gotham stand out.
Really? I thought Begins did that the best. It's the only film of the three where it actually felt like it took place in Gotham. The next two films were just New York City with a different name.

Begins established the criminal atmosphere of Gotham, but it's still New York. Just a grimy New York. Whereas Rises has the whole "city cut off from the rest of America" thing going for it.

I always thought the first two BatNolan films had Gotham be "grimmy New York" before transitioning to "We were Rhode Island THE WHOLE TIME" kind of thing. Only to break the illusion with the underground bomb segment, where they clearly were in those New York garages that are way below the sea level and anything could cause a flooding or something.

Though having a New York vibe isn't exactly out of place for Batman, he's always been the one to have a city that has a real life counterpart, instead of being completely fictional, like Metropolis. On that end, I think Green Arrow's city, in the comics at least, was always supposed to be San Franscisco or something.

Nolan Gotham is Chicago, not New York. But what can you expect from a bunch of German hicks who’ve never left their family’s hog farm?

Tobe fair, the first movie tried to dress it up to look like a comic city. Second movie is pure Chicago with no attempt to hide it, while third movie is Pittsburgh, you homos.

It's difficult to tell those shitholes apart. Don't they film much of them in Canada anyway?

I think that's only for tv shows since it's super cheap but capeshit Holyjew films circa 2005-2010 had enough money to actually film on actual murkan locations.

Maybe the on location stuff was, but this is definitely New York. You can even see One World Trade Center under construction.

A big guy needs big speeches, after all.
He should've talked more about cocks. I think Bane would sound even more amazing if he mentioned "cock" more often.

It's just not Gotham without the gothic, somewhat old-fashioned flair.

A character can either be Big Strong Guy or Smart Guy. Not both, NEVER both. Ergo Batman: Fagever's interpretation of Bane is best.
Batman & Robin, you deplorable bastard! Turn in your Blockbuster card right now!
Is that the one where Spock dies or am I thinking of Temple of Doom?
That was The Last Jedi. Set expectations to subverted!

DHI is proof you can be both a massive homosexual and a virgin. They're not exclusive. If you display both in large enough quantities you can qualify for mod status.
