This will be me if that happens
Isn't there another American distributor that can seize the momentum, grab the license, hire Vic and rub it in their progressive faces?

Re: Rekieta Law
Gaynadians at least used to count their own anime dubs as part of their communist content requirements for TV being an X amount of Cucknadian produced content. I never figured out why you YouGay got the AB Groupe and Post-Saban Ocean dubs, being owned by the frogs makes sense.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 10:05 amDon't know, honestly. I think they were the first to dub Dragon Ball Z and just kept going. I can't remember why we got them over here, I think it might have something to do with the UK broadcast rights being owned by a frog company who then obviously got the Cucknadians to provide an English dub.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 9:59 amAlso what's up with the Leafs having their own dub?

(Also fuck me, why would you ever include Nightcore in your vidja OST?)

Honestly, no. Most of the other distributors have dried up and Funi bought up all their licences.Complicity wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 10:29 amIsn't there another American distributor that can seize the momentum, grab the license, hire Vic and rub it in their progressive faces?

It costs very little to get a dubbing studio in place. Sony could do it relatively quickly; they don't even need to do it in the States; have the new dubbing studio outsource the actual studio space and actors in Canada and boom.... Kirby Murrow IS Goku. This must happen so Kirby can tweet "So Sean, Guess I am Goku"Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 11:25 amHonestly, no. Re: Rekieta Law
If Funimation folds, Toei wouldn't even need to go through Sony. Just do what Bandai does and, like you said, outsource the dubbing on their own to an English speaking studio.

Re: Rekieta Law
Would any other studios dump Funi if Toei does? Other studios might not have nearly as much money but surely seeing the bitch niggas be bitches might dissuade at least somebody with entrusting them the rights for shitsubs and shitdubs.
Re: Rekieta Law
Wait, who owns Dragon Ball, Toei or Bandai? Does't Toei just animate the thing or it also oversees the distribution?Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 12:04 pmIf Funimation folds, Toei wouldn't even need to go through Sony. Anyway, even if Toei wanted to get rid of Funimation, is some shitty jokes really gonna cut it to break a contract and risk a lawsuit?
Re: Rekieta Law
I think at most Bandai just licenses DB for games or toys. But Bandai has their own properties like Gundam that they're producing their own dubs for and such.
Re: Rekieta Law
There's a massive shitstorm involving a fucking lawsuit, this is just part of it. Are you intentionally trying to make the stupidest fucking posts possible?
