He didn't seem to have a functional grasp on how the force worked originally. Also, why would Leia and Han name their kid Ben? She never met that nigger and Han only knew him for one trip to the Death Star. Why was it just X-Wings in the film? At least Rogue One had Y-Wings doing their thing. I don't know why nerds get so fucking precious over their childhood nostalgia. I don't expect the next generation to enjoy all the things I did. If it works out that way, fine, that's nice, but we're in the adult world and even a good movie or tv show isn't that big a deal. C'mon now.

I always feel that way when I see some of these guys dressing up their daughters as Star Wars or capeshit characters, insisting their daughter is a big fan. It's like, come on asshole, I know you're disappointed you had a girl. Don't make her do this for your enjoyment.

Yeah. Like I said, if you show your kids something you liked growing up, and they like it, that's fine. I used to watch Star Trek with my father. But it's selfish and stupid to expect your kids to like everything you liked. Or to try to force them to grow up the same way you did.

I guess it reminds me of a nerd version of parents wanting their kids to be big into sports, and being crushed/angry when they find out their kid sucks shit at baseball or whatever.
