Well, there went my last bit of respect for Brad. Guy used to be able to take criticism, now even that is gone.

When he first started out at CA. I haven't followed him in years, but it's night and day from what it is now.

And even then the statement isn't true. Since before he was on CA he was fairly touchy. He used to at least play it off by answering in a snarky way but he never, ever has taken criticism.
That's also why his movies are dumpster fires not even worthy of being called B-movies. He has no intention to better himself and won't ever because he doesn't listen to advice and isn't passionate and self-reflective enough to accept how much he'd still have to learn.

Besides actual home videos or instruction VHS shit, what movie ever featured in his reviews or Best of the Worst is worse than any of his movies? Serious question. I'd be surprised if you could name me one, let alone multiple ones.

Hell, he got a lot of criticism(death threats?) when he refused to leave Channel Awesome.

He'd barely ever answer to criticism ever back then. When he did, he was salty but never outright mad or insulting in a manner you couldn't call him being snarky.
Spoony was thought off as pretty alright as well up until several years in when he won Mashable and flipped his shit over people calling the red dragon an obeast. Evidence points to him always having been a massive cunt that's impossible to deal with IRL as well.

He can't leave CA right now. I'm sure he's got an actual contract and he's lost his touch ages ago. All he cares about right now is making this low effort shit and be able to make a living from it. Why'd he leave the gravy train?

I just remember all the nobodies being a lot more chill before Chelsea Van Valkenberg and Anita. Then the tension started escalating immensely and hit a peak at Trump's election.

Brad started getting angrier. Non-sequitor political swipes were appearing in all his videos, strawman characters were introduced, and Brad got a hate boner for the Christian movie genre.

I'd heard whispers that Spoony was a dick from the very beginning, on the other hand. I was shown no evidence. Just people saying he was a dick to them. At the time, I disregarded it, and I didn't really care, as long as his videos were funny. The was pre-Twitter mind you, when you COULD focus on people's work and ignore their personal lives.

Spoony's shit was public real early with the whole Knights of the Dinnertable magazine. Not even rumours but just reading directly what he wrote, in his allotted pages, directly responding to criticism and him eventually getting fired from it because people couldn't stand him.

Brad never had such things going on. He got worse, as did Spoony, and politics certainly had a big part in that. Who didn't get in a worse mood over the last few years concerning that? But handling criticism wasn't either one's strong suit ever. Brad was just better about it than the worst man at dealing with criticism ever born.

Part of their early image as being based might've just been their characters. The Spoony One and the Cinema Snob seemed like sweel guys who can take some bantz. Over time, people noticed they weren't actually chill and cool, and that these characters are just them being at max smugness.
