mike probably still has 51 percent of the company
Re: Doge Walker and Channel Awesome
And whatever % his brother has is probably a safe buffer from the Walkers trying to oust him.

What's happening here is nothing but karma for that stupid video he made of him quitting job in the most annoying way imaginable and helping start a whole subgenre of assholes quitting.

And the media applauded it.

Yeah, honestly who gives a fuck about Channel Awesome dying really? Why is Michaud and his bro still even in the picture? Walker just needs to set up a Patreon account and keep making videos on youtube, even under a new moniker or just use his real name, he'll still rake in the cash. Maybe not as much as before, but he has an established fanbase that'll automatically guarantee him near 100,000 views per video and then all he'd have to do is be consistent with his output to regrow his audience.pibbs wrote: ↑Sun Apr 15, 2018 8:54 pmWait. Somewhere it was mentioned there are five owners of CA.
Mike and his brother, the Walker brothers, the Walker Daddy.
Vote the Michauds out. Take back your IP. Rename it Channel Flannel or something. Move on like nothing has happened. The fuck's taking them so long?
But the Walkers if anything are perennially too stupid to make smart decisions. This whole thing happened because of how bad they were at running a relatively small business. Fuck them all and their stupid idiot asses.
Re: Doge Walker and Channel Awesome
Maybe because this document that Michaud pulled from his ass forbidding to work in media for 3 years that Holly signed actually has some standing value? And the same document was also signed by all other co-owners? Look at Bharghav or Ellis - they did not resurface yet after being ousted.Vaporwear wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 4:10 amYeah, honestly who gives a fuck about Channel Awesome dying really? Walkers are so dumb that they would not take case to court - for them everything is better than sitting for 3 years working as janitors in circuit city, even sticking with Michaud dude until the bitter end.
Re: Doge Walker and Channel Awesome
1. That contract sounds retarded, I'm sure it's not enforceable anyway and they're better off just ignoring it. Wtf is Michaud going to do about it, sue? Mother fucker can't even run a small-time internet business, I'm sure he'd file a lawsuit just as ineptly.PJVGT wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 4:37 amMaybe because this document that Michaud pulled from his ass forbidding to work in media for 3 years that Holly signed actually has some standing value? 2. That's something unbelievably retarded to sign. Once again, this proves how stupid and incompetent all these fuckers are.

Why the hell would people sign something AFTER the fact?
"You got hurt? Sign this thing that says that you'll never sue us for getting hurt."
"You're fired. Now sign this thing that says you'll never work for a competitor."

I've talked to employment lawyers in the past: Non-competes are so unenforceable that it's not even funny. You could have one that says "I, the employee, will not work in the same field as employer for 3 years within 3000 miles of employer under the penalty of $50,000" and even if you sign it, they have audio of you agreeing the sign it, and a video of you signing it, the court will STILL throw the non-disclosure out on the grounds that it's too restrictive. Hell, even under the concept of trade secret protection, Non-competes are still unenforceable, especially here.PJVGT wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 4:37 amMaybe because this document that Michaud pulled from his ass forbidding to work in media for 3 years that Holly signed actually has some standing value? What trade secrets does CA have that they would forbid a contract-signed contributer from sharing that would drastically boost their competition?
