I've talked to employment lawyers in the past: Non-competes are so unenforceable that it's not even funny. You could have one that says "I, the employee, will not work in the same field as employer for 3 years within 3000 miles of employer under the penalty of $50,000" and even if you sign it, they have audio of you agreeing the sign it, and a video of you signing it, the court will STILL throw the non-disclosure out on the grounds that it's too restrictive. Hell, even under the concept of trade secret protection, Non-competes are still unenforceable, especially here.

What trade secrets does CA have that they would forbid a contract-signed contributer from sharing that would drastically boost their competition?
