It's worse than that. The MCN giving you partnered status basically says to youtube, "we are putting our reputation on the line that this channel won't break the rules." So then if you get in trouble, the MCN might get in trouble too.

Of course an MCN would rather you change your format to be more friendly to copyright. They aren't about to fall on their swords for some cunt who plays 90% of a movie in her reviews. That's why groups like Curse will straight-up unpartner you if you get a copyright strike on your channel and it sticks.

That's another detail I glossed over. They can fuck off whining about not getting paid for it, they fucking chose to go. I can understand if the company said they had to go or they would no longer host their videos but that clearly didn't happen at all or they would be bitching up. Larry was never invited to those, a lot of producers didn't go to them and were still featured on the site like the others.
