So, I read the document, because why not. Most of it was stuff I knew, a few things were new to me though. It did confirm the claim that Mike Michaud apparently owns the Nostalgia Critic character, which makes me wonder what in the world led Doge to sign over the rights to it.

Back in 2007-2008, youtube was notorious for flagging any copyrighted material after Viacom hit them with a billion dollar lawsuit. Doge's Nostalgia Critic and 5 Second Movies were big fodder for youtube because of this. So, Doge was without a place to upload his videos, and then comes Michaud, a guy who worked at Circuit City with his brother's friend Bhargav. Michaud ponies up the cash to start the website promising Doge will be the star of the website. Doge of course signs away.

I still remember Doge making a new YT account for every NC and several for 5 second movie reviews. They got struck down super fast.

By the way, that quote I had to manually type out because for some reason they set up the Google Doc to not be copyable. Why in the world did they do that?

You technically can copy from the site if you have enough patience to find it in the site's source, but that was tedious, because every line seems to be in a separate jumble of different divs. The message I've seen was about the document having some features blocked because of the traffic, or maybe that was two separate messages.
