Well, can you? I was thinking about China binning that shit and large part of that is that people just plain thought it was some ol' bullshit. China has no history with Star Wars. They do know that it's a big deal in the west but that's like showing you some Bollywood crap and telling you that it's a big deal in India. The fuck do you care, right?
So they watch that stuff just some Hollywood SciFi flick and thought it sucked shit. Because those movies are even worse without any knowledge about Star Wars beforehand.

The Chinese are basically immune against Disney's main marketing gimmick ("It's Star Wars... but with MUH DIVERSITY!"). Brand loyalty and diversity-pandering are pretty much the only reason these movies make as much cash as they do.
