I'm pretty comfortable with keeping my interactions with these people free of politics. Maybe that's because I'm old enough to remember when none of this mattered and, while political disagreements could get fiery, we weren't trained yet to interpret the other person's views in the worst light possible (Right wing = NAZIS!; Left wing = PEDOS!).

Eh, that's not that old of a thing. Remember the 90s? Political correctness was for politicians only. Specifically those running for a high office. For everyone else it was all about individualism and being offensive, especially in music.

Well there were times I thought I was around people like you guys in other online spaces. But they turned out to be “chill hangouts” for Kiwi Farm autists so the second Zi got comfortable and unloaded like I did here I would be considered a buzzkill and ruining their fun. I’d get called a horrible person despite some of them outright saying or doing things infinitely worse than me. Saying I live in my mom’s basement even though they’re 25 to 30 year olds living with their parents while I’ve lived in my own place since I was 20. They would also say I’m a mentally unbalanced person people should be afraid of and how I need to be locked up despite me doing nothing other than raise my voice and tell people to go fuck themselves.

Sometimes I expected this place to go the same way, but this seems to be the one place that hasn’t. I got me to the point where I just expect to get treated that way by people because that’s how people always treat me.
