Marzgurl always get pissy whenever anyone is not impressed about her closed captions job. With all the bragging she does, you assume she was an animator,writer,or director not someone who just does subtitles. Maybe it would be one thing if she was translating from the original Japanese to English, but isn't closed captions just writing down the English dialogue for the subtitles? If that's the case, what's so impressive about that? The only thing I can think of why she's so defensive about her job is she knows deep down inside that her station in life is utterly pathetic at her age yet she refuses to really do anything constructive about it.

It's also not just closed captions. Example, if you're watching GQuuuuuuX, those subtitles are mine. Hell, the PIRATED subtitles I've seen screenshots of largely came from the Amazon Prime Video subs, meaning even most of the PIRATED subs are ALSO mine.
So, for being "not anything special", it's exceedingly hard to watch a version of this season of Gundam that I didn't work on. Like, you have to go deliberately out of your way to find a version that wasn't touched by me. To say it's "not anything special" is a stretch at best.
You're damn right I'm proud of that. To be able to contribute to your ability to READ a GUNDAM series touched by Hideaki Anno is pretty fuckin' special, if I do say so myself.
I assume Razor is speaking out of experience of doing something more credible. Surely his name has been on Toonami/Adult Swim a few more times than my name has. Surely that would explain it, you know, since he's so much better than me.

Yeah, I guess closed captions are nothing special, if you think people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing are nothing special. Which, obviously, is a shit take.
