The only reason people get into voice acting is because they can't hack it in actual show business.

Not always. You see with what this woman was offered, minimum $15,000 for around 16 hours work, that if you're good (and sometimes even if you're not) and you're wiling to work steady, you can make a decent living for very little actual work. Plus it's a lot less ego. You just have to sound right for the part, the audience aren't going to see you so whether you look right for a part or not is obviously of no importance. Or, at least, that's how it used to be. Now in the woke era they've got to have ethnic minority actors voicing ethnic minority characters, or else it's racist or something.

Animu dub actors though, those guys definitely are just wannabe actors. Most of them are just sound engineers at recording studios or whatever. Or sometimes they'll literally just pull guys off the street.
