Simple. It's because :
1.)It's not isometric because it has camera options to prevent that kind of thing
2.)The camera zooms in uncomfortably much during (always) voiced dialogue scenes as if it is a BioWare game and we're playing "shot-reverse shot" until we can make out the individual pimples, dammit
3.)Combat is turn based and often times zoomed in enough to see your characters faces
4.)At best, the helms look like those from Dragon Quest, made so that they never obscure the face because why WOULD you want to not look at your beautiful nubian, dragon tamer princess OC in a DnD setting?
So a recipe for disaster, if people didn't already love the reddit-tier humour the game has.
Also : it's a 60 bucks Alpha / Early Access title with only 1 chapter finished and only allows you to get to level 12. BRAVO!
