Quantum's easily my favourite Craig. It's straightforward, doesn't have all the emotional melodrama in it(aside from a few subtle nods to Royale) and doesn't hang around for an eternity on landscape shots like the Mendes films. I still don't think it's great, though. Ironically, Craig's best performance as Bond *was* in Spectre, but it's just wasted in that film. He's finally chilled out and left behind the thug stuff.

I'd say there hasn't really been a classic Bond since Goldeneye, maybe The World Is Not Enough.

Craig really should have been replaced after Skyfall, aka Too Old For This Shit. EON has always held on to actors way too long, which happens when they keep insisting on casting leads n their 40s or close to it. At the least, they could grow his hair out and put him in clothes that aren't skintight. He's 52 for chrissakes.

To be fair, it was only his third film, and they deliberately played up the age factor(especially awkward after Royale and Quantum served as a Bond prequel). He looked healthier in Spectre.

It doesn't really matter. Quantum was the last unwoke movie. A new actor wouldn't stop the shitty titles, awful Billy Eyelash song, or bad writing. Babs Broccoli must have an orgasm everytime a strong independent woman threatens to kill or main Bond if he touches her.

Quantum was shit, too. They made half a movie and then said, "Fuck it, just release what we got." Like I'm supposed to give a fuck about South American filth being denied water.

I think the next movie was Skyfall with its "Who said it would be the first time?" faggotry, right? LOL

Say what you want about the story (there was a writer's strike tbf) but David Arnold's score is superior to the mundane crap in the movies that followed, and the direction is so much more lively than what Mendes produced when he wasn't having angry butt sex with his star. Roger Deakins' is overrated as hell and Quantum just plain looks better.



There's this badass fight. Compare that to the gay shit in Skyfuck and Sphinctre.



Now if EON would just make a director's cut that changes out the godawful song.
