Paranoia wasn't bad for an indie flick but the editing and music ruined whatever decent qualities it possessed. Brad's "writer's cut" he eventually released on blip re-edited, presented in black & white, and featuring actual songs in place of the shitty score I thought was genuinely kind of watchable. It's probably the closest thing to a legitimate indie film Brad has ever produced at the very least.
He mentioned he wrote it back in the 90s and was heavily inspired by the indie flicks around then, which shows. The dialogue gets a little clunky but it wasn't bad. Brad is basically playing Brad, but oh well. Somebody uploaded the original where you could stream it online but I haven't been able to find it, guess they got it taken down when they decided to upload it to Vimeo.

This is Brad's way of dealing with people saying he was completely wrong with his prometheus review and people linking spoony's review of it on his site comments.

Prometheus wasn't that bad in all honesty, but I wish Ridley Scott stuck to his guns and made an actual sequel to it instead of cockblocking Neill Blompkamp just to make a rehash of the first movie.

Prometheus is visually amazing and its premise is fascinating, the problem with it is the main characters act unbelievably stupid. Alien: Covenant should've been a straight up Prometheus sequel that focused on Elizabeth Shaw but instead Ridley Scott made it an uneven mashup of Alien and Prometheus that doesn't answer a lot of the questions that Prometheus raised. It's like Ridley didn't read any of the negative reviews that Prometheus received and blindly assumed people just want more xenomorphs.

I bet the next sequel will answer all questions!

(Though I guess that'll just be a prequel about how the colony in Aliens got fucked up, with that android from Prometheus thrown in because why the fuck not.)

Brad trashed the Dark Knight Rises and went after his viewers for years over it. They dared to disagree en mass.

More than that they also took issue not just with his opinion but with how cunty he was being about the film. He acted as though it was one of the worst superhero movies ever made, which is absurd even if you dislike the movie. And as memory serves it's was a review he did with Jillian... and he just seemed pissed at her throughout.

Dark Knight Trilogy has its shit moments, but they're well made and directed films in spite of it.

Main criticisms were the Bat voice, the lack of mystery or detective work, and the zany villian schemes.

Joker just wanted to wreak havoc, I can follow that. Wanted to prove everyone and everything is corruptible. Cool premise.

The fear gas and anarchy plots of the first and 3rd movies were typical capeshit, but I could suspend disbelief to enjoy them.

I also really hate this whole "symbolism" angle. It was cute to have all the ninja philosophy, but why couldn't Bruce/Batman just talk like a normal person? Why did Alfred always have a speech? The bat puns.... though few, we're very annoying.

The Nolan Batman films have their flaws but I would say they're the best capeshit along with the first two Raimi Spider-Man films. I don't get why TGWTG has such a hate boner for TDKR.
