Reactception. Let's meme this genre into existance. If this gets really big, you might just be able to crowdfund a movie where you react to the AT4W movie.

Re: Nasty Cockslut aka Uncle Linky
El Mariachi was not made as a blockbuster. It was actually made as a shitty direct-to-video film, exclusively for Mexican markets, to help fund a separate Rodriguez project. Executives at Columbia just happened to like the film so much that they picked it up for American distribution, where they proceeded to spend much, much more money on it. Granted most of that was marketing, but stillWhybother wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2017 1:18 amConsider this. These fucks collect 60 thousand dollars (I'll just go with that figure) to make a movie and produce shit like Atop The Fourth Wall The Movie or The Cinema Snob Movie. Meanwhile in the 90s, with less access to filmming equipment and modern editing and effects software and working with a budget of 7,000 dollars, the equivalent of just $11,866.33 today, Robert Rodriguez made El Mariachi. Hell even Kevin Smith managed to make Clerks on half the budget these fuckers raise.

Ok... it was still much more ambitious, much more technically proficient, met with much more wide-spread praise, and made with much less money than Linky's piece of shit. So what's your point?

That's the difference between a talented person and a hack. The talented person can make a shitty side project that still comes out a hundred times better than the vanity project of a hack.
Big money! Big prizes! I love it!
Re: Nasty Cockslut aka Uncle Linky
What's funny is the excellent Desperado only cost like $7 million, but then Rodriguez got money and made that shitty Once Upon A Time in Mexico and has been balls since. Lesson: money makes everyone lazy and shitty.

Nah.. the thing that really turned Rodriguez into a lazy fuck later in his career, amusingly, was digital filmmaking and green screens

Re: Nasty Cockslut aka Uncle Linky
They had ads running which is why it was in a million parts, and they sold DVDs and signed posters. The company took all the money off the crossovers they did too, that shit was done for profit, not "for the fans" so they can fuck right off.Rapeculture wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2017 3:14 pmYeah, I forget who it was that said it, but they said that the TGWTG movies were just anniversary specials and therefore shouldn't be criticized as films or held up to that standard. Actually, I think it may have been Linkara himself who said that.
