FF7 and FF8 had such a negative reaction that FFIX got made. That game caters very hard to the older style of gameplay and writing. Think more FFIVish.

Spoony refused to play FFIX and review it cause he a bitch. The only thing he could find to complain about were the character designs. If the game had one of those pixel art converter mods then he and a bunch of other fags would be jumping all over its dick.

The reaction of people to Episode I was like the reaction of Spoony's fans to his Sammy Doesn't Know video. Nervous looking around, trying to find something good from it. "Oh well, it's only the first of the three new movies, right?" "The next one will be better now that the setup is out of the way." "I guess the podracing was cool." and so on.
Nobody loved the movie. Everyone was at least a little bit disappointed and couldn't wait for child Anakin and Jar Jar being gone in the next movie. It was a rocky start.
When I left the cinema all I saw were people with the same kind of expression on their faces. All the hype before going in was gone. I've never seen so many disappointed people dressed like Jedis. Everyone had this "Is it just me or was that kinda shit?" look.

Firstly, FFIX was being developed before FFVIII was even finished, negating the whole 'they made it because FFVIII was unpopular' theory. Secondly, FFIX wasn't even going to be FFIX. The futuristic settings of FFVII and VIII were so popular that Square feared backlash if the next numbered instalment returned to the series' medieval roots, so it was originally going to be a gaiden. Thirdly, these FF 'purists' you speak of were a very, very small minority of gamers. Final Fantasy only got three games in very limited release in North America. It didn't see any releases in Europe, VII was Europe's first Final Fantasy. In Japan, where they got all six previous games, the game sold 2.3 million copies in its first three days of release. The game is generally higher regarded in Japan than FFVI

They made FFIX a throwback because it was an anniversary game, it was the last Final Fantasy for the original Playstation, they had the Spirits Within coming out that utilised futuristic settings and, most importantly of all, Sakaguchi wanted to do a throwback

Back when The Phantom Menace was released in theaters I couldn't give a fuck about Star Wars or any other nerd crap, I was more interested in playing guitar, smoking pot and fucking girls. Some friends asked me to go with them to see it, but I was like naah, fuck that. Next when I saw them they said that was really good move to pass that piece of shit. I finally watched it when it came from TV, that was maybe 2004, and I couldn't even finish it. Total garbage. I don't remember anyone liking it, ever, not a day after its release. Spoony is being completely delusional if he thinks his reviews of prequels were some game changers in how people view these movies. In fact, I wasn't even aware what his opinions of the prequels are.

He's a cop and they are not generally these sjw- "we are all equal" cucks, which Noah clearly is today. There's a good chance Miles even voted for Trump.

I remember on 1.0 Miles' Facebook page had a picture of him with Penn Jillett, a well known libertarian, so he clearly leaned right when he started being a cop.
