An old shitty car like that could be totalled easily. Totalled doesn't mean it was completely wrecked and wouldn't run. It just means it would cost more to fix than the car is worth, and a car like that isn't worth much.

Pity rApril has no friends who could give her a ride to the post office. Maybe if she socialized a little more instead of jilling to Skyrim mods she could ask someone for a favor.

Lots of cars nowadays get totaled easily. Cars are made to wreck themselves in such a way that the people in the car are shielded. If you wonder what it's like to get into an accident with a car that's made to last and NOT made to protect you, go buy a car from the 50s-70s and try it out. I knew someone who had a crippling spine injury with constant pain because they were a passenger in an older car that got into an accident.

I can well believe spoony's car is fucked. And that comment from rapril proves that he WAS at fault, if there was ever any doubt. If he wasn't at fault, insurance should be able to cover a loaner or something.

The reason Spoony isn't crying on twitter is because he knows people can go look at the accident report and see it was his fault. It's also likely he was under the influence of something while he was driving and he doesn't want that little nugget to get dropped.

It's ALSO possible he plans to lie in court a bunch and knows that slipping any info on twatter will come back to haunt him.

Here in bongland we issue breathalysers to anyone involved in a car crash severe enough that the police have to be called. It's just normal procedure here. Does that happen in burgerland?

Either way, I doubt Spoony would actually DUI. He might well have been hungover and was probably on 72 hours with no sleep or something (again, over here getting in the car in that state is a crime) though. And I doubt he'd lie in court when he'll know full well there are witness statements against him. He's not that stupid to lie when he knows he can't get away with it. He'll probably stand meekly in the dock, say nothing except to confirm his name, and then 6 months later do a tweeting spree about how he verbally smacked down the judge with old Green Lantern references or something.
