That's because they had good stories accumulated from past years, not because they are entertaining in general or have good personalities. Stand up comedians are people who can turn a mundane situation into very entertaining scene if they have a good presence and personality. Like he said in his video with that Shane dipshit, he's pretty much acting as a member of the press, with the bonus that he actually knows what the fuck he's talking about when he covers lawsuits. Maybe there aren't a lot of cases to work right now in bumfuck Minnesota, but from what's visible of his house in his videos, he's done pretty okay for himself. Considering his sudden popularity in superchats, I'd say he's found a pretty sweet side hustle, and unlike fatass Ralph, he has something else to fall back on if it doesn't keep up. Lawyers aren't exactly some paragons of dry professionalism either. A lot of the best ones are theatrical as fuck. Look at Johnny Cochran.

100% agree with this. I've only watched a few of his videos, those being a random one when he was first starting to get recommended to me (after I watched a few videos on the h3h3 lawsuit way back when that was a thing) and the video where he allowed Andy Warski to ambush Donga.

Both times he came across as some dude with some legal knowledge just trying to find every reason to fuel his sperg but without wanting to admit that it's his main goal. Like a dishonest Metokur with an actual useful degree, or something.
