As for my thoughts on Star Wars,

8. Attack Of The Clones - Well, Sir Christopher Lee was in it, at least.
7. The Phantom Menace - I don't hate it. It's daft, but I can always look at it and sort of see where George is coming from. I actually do like the political storyline and Qui-Gon is one of my favourite characters.
6. Rogue One - I loved it when I first saw it, but on every rewatch, the first two acts drag it down. As soon as Vader turns up, it gets fantastic. But it's not consistently enjoyable.
5. Clone Wars - It's just kind of there, in a good way. Like one of those flicks I can put on anytime and enjoy it. I really like the voice actors, Anakin's in particular brings the character to life far better than Hayden Christensen.
5. The Force Awakens - Could've been more imaginative, but that's a nitpick imo. It's still a great, emotional film for me. Harrison Ford and Daisy Ridley in particular were fantastic. (Although did anyone else think C-3PO was really out of character?)
4. Revenge Of The Sith - Prequelitis aside, I thought this was a great flick and a major step up from the last two. Lucas stopped arsing around with plot threads nobody cared about.
3. A New Hope - Rewatched it for the 40th anniversary and I actually started liking this more than I used to, I think I had it below Revenge and Awakens before now. It's a superb standalone adventure film.
2. The Empire Strikes Back - This is how all sequels should work. One-up everything, including the imagination.
1. Return Of The Jedi - I feel like this film best combined the adventure feel of the original with Empire's darker tone. All the scenes in the Death Star were franchise highlights. It has Ian McDiarmid. I don't mind the Ewoks.
