I think the only level cap humans had where for Assassins and Druids (something around 14 or 15). Everything else was unlimited. The only class that was unlimited for demi-humans was Thief (with very few exceptions), so being some Thief hybrid was probably a good choice for the long term (or maybe not because Thief wasn't the best class around).

One of the reason for these level caps AFAIK was to explain how these century-old elves and dwarves aren't all level 20+ badasses. Though it wasn't until 3.X that the "these rules are the in-universe physics of the setting"-mindset became really retarded.

• The sun is so far away that the gigantic Perception penalty means nobody has ever seen the sun.
• Not only will an ordinary house cat fuck a typical Commoner's shit right up, but its size means he won't see it coming. Cats are basically the Predator.
• In a similar vein, no Commoner will ever see a rabbit unless that rabbit wanted to be seen.
• A mile-long conga line of peasants allows for instantaneous transportation of messages and small objects.
• Ladders are cheaper than the sum of its parts.
• On the other hand, pitfall traps with pointy sticks inside are oddly expensive, even if you do everything by yourself.
• Spellcaster component pouches contain an infinite number of spiders and batshit.
• The fastest non-magical way to stabilize a heavily-wounded person involved dunking his head in water until he starts drowning. The only problem is that there's no way to stop drowning.

I have that book, it's called the book of erotic fantasy. I've never used it because my friends got it for my birthday as a joke, but I can imagine how uncomfortable a campaign would be if you ran that, especially with women involved.

Probably 3.X. Not even elves could be Druids in previous version. It was human and half-elf only (and half-elves made for worse druids).

(Though I guess the shitty NPC-only tribal spellcaster classes of Shaman and Witch Doctor from AD&D1 might count as Druid I guess.)

You should try Black Tokyo and its various supplements. Covers just about every hentai trope you can think of, and a few you wish you'd have never heard about.
