Rolfe's actual experience in vidya prior to doing the Nerd pretty much ended with the Super NES. He never really showed any genuine interest in post-SNES games (
or even anything outside Nintendo consoles for that matter). The fact that he claims to be a Castlevania fan, but never played Symphony of the Night prior to making his Castlevania retrospective, shows how out-of-touch he actually is.

He's talked a lot about playing Gamecube with Mike in college. He's just normalfag tier though, not an obsessive gamefaggot like his fans think he is.

I can see him being an instructor in a university. In fact, that may be one of the best career paths for him after YouTube implodes. He's one of the few INs I can see actually turning their YT into something useful.
