It's almost like there's more reasons to like a film than it having a deep story.

I mean, it wasn't the best movie in the universe but that hardly needs to be said now does it? It was a sequel to a series that was itself a ripoff of Hokuto no Ken. And the original series of movies weren't perfect either. They were dumb fun just like the new one is.

I'm not going to start hating fury road just because the internet meme is all things current year sjw-endorsed must be awful. I don't even know why the feminists like fury road when you consider the message was there is no feminist utopia and men and women have to work together with the flawed society they have. Furiosa doesn't escape the evil menz and find the magical feminist utopia because it doesn't exist. The amazon warrior feminists are shitty bitches who ambush people on the highways by using their sexuality. They have nothing of value to offer. Immortan Joe's society, as bad as it may have seemed, was functional and that's more than you can say for basically any other alternative. So they kill him and his goons and take over.

But most of the movie is cars flipping over in the dust because that's what we paid money to see. Fury Road isn't even remotely as bad as the Force Awakens, let alone Last Jedi.
