If I ever had grievances, which I didn't ever, I would never mention them in public. Not on mother's day, not ever.
I did have falling outs with my father, though. Real, real bad falling outs. To the point of almost beating up each other and such. Yet, still, those wouldn't last longer than a few days ever. I mean, generally speaking, men are able to rip each other's eyes out and then be cool with each other the next day (or a few days later, whatever). I grew up with two sisters and my mother being the main family around me and it never made sense to me that they could see someone they knew from high school that said one thing to them once and they'd bring up how much they hated them 5 to 10 years later.

Meanwhile my ex actually destroyed my reputation and tons of my friendships and 10 years later I'd be cool with grabbing a drink with her and her husband.
