The thing is why you can't trust doctors is because they label everything outside the norm of society (society is completely arbitary created btw.) a disorder.

The aversion to pedophilia springs from the natural evolutionary knowledge that a child is not sexually fertile and able to bear young without great difficulty. We can get into more gray area bullshit with teens and stuff, obviously the marriage age used to be younger than it is now, for both genders tbh. Men were considered men at like 12 or 14 and able to marry at that age, if not expected to. A new generation has to fill in the gaps in a society left when people die, so a widow needs a new husband etc etc or else we stop having fertile pairs obligated to produce and care for children. Which causes a net loss of people within a small community. So a 14 year old boy would marry a 30 year old widow and vice versa, or one man would have 54 wives because he's rich and he's able to care for a large family financially.

But a child of six years old is not fucking sexually fertile and cannot bear children. To be attracted to that instead of a fertile member of the opposite sex is sick. Even homosexuality within groups is much easier to explain, as outlier homosexuals tend to take on part of the caregiving role which might not always be filled (if the society has a lack of women or old people.) But pedophilia is proven to cause trauma in children which continues into their adulthood. If anything, it causes sexual dysfunction among children which continues on to be sexual dysfunction in adulthood. Which would be contrary to the aims of a local community to maintain or grow its population.
