Maybe he's afraid if he did nothing but reviews they would take so long in between people would lose interest and leave so he fills the void with shit, YouTube audiences are pretty fickle today and if you're not putting out 1-3 videos a day they will lose interest.

So you figure out how many reviews you can make per month. You schedule them so you have a regular update every x amount of time. Now unless it literally takes him a fucking month to make a new review, I think most people would be perfectly fine with seeing a new review every week or so and not seeing all these bullshitty trailer reacts and pedorith opinions they didn't sign up for.

Also, the react videos, half in the pedorith movie round-tables, preview videos and let's plays are taking up valuable time that joe could be using to make reviews. But his mentality is such that he'd rather chase pennies on 100k per video trailer reacts while bitching about how unappreciated he is, than to focus on those 2+ million viewer reviews. Even a good (in terms of viewership) let's play or trailer react video gets maybe 1/4th or less what the average review does. So to make up the difference, he'd have to spam them shits out en masse. Basically it's the DSP methodology.

Yup. I remember one particularly dumb asshole once calling doing a let's play a "project", as if it was a project for actual job. And no, it wasn't DSP, someone far less relevant. This is absolutely how they see their lives, disconnected from reality, not having a real job since fucking ever, thinking they're very hard working individuals, jerking off and playing video games all day, only spending couple of minutes to cut the footage down without any editing (that's usually considered extra work) and boom, super busy day done.

Admittedly, nowdays let's plays are seemingly a thing of the past, since streaming basically replaced it, at least for the big players, although at least with streaming, it does take more effort to stay somewhat focused for real 8 hours or so, let's players usually released barely an hour of footage per day with minimal effort. That was the hillarious part, they didn't even play a lot of games, because I do remember the standard really being releasing maybe a video or two per day, and those having around 10 minutes of uncut gameplay.
