Yea, christ, it's been 10 movies straight of the same narrative, tired and rehashed in the most unimaginative of ways. Why do we need to see the past of Han Solo? Kenobi? What in the fuck was the point in Rogue One? WHO CARES how they got the plans for the death star?! Why do we need to see the offspring of Han and Leia (Let's make another Star Wars Story showing their romantic encounter) go through post-pubescent angst and patricide. Who asked for this?

Notice that currently Star Wars execs are virtually all female. They just can't stop sticking all their pudgy little "girl power" fingers into this pie. If this frigid "The Force is Female" is what people are embracing, I'm glad I've since moved onto femboys and shemales...I'm not trying to be sexist, Rian Johnson and JJ Abrams are both horrible writers and directors and Lucas lost whatever potential he had decades ago. They had to take away the director's chair from that useless bum in the The Empire Strikes Back. You saw what happened when he took back over the Prequel Trilogy. Virtually unwatchable, I watched Episode 2 twice because I forgot the story and events. After watching it again I realized the "film" makes amnesia compulsory. Prequel trilogy sucked for many reasons and we all know most of them.

However, there's many understandable reasons why prequel trilogy sucked and can be "forgiven" in a sense, while the new disney shit is just flat out shit.
Lucas wanted to make good films, obviously, but he knew that times had changed. The original trilogy was a fantasy story with a magical force power and it was all about good vs evil. I think Lucas probably got cold feet and thought it would be too dated for the late 90's, early 00's audience, so he made the prequel shit "more realistic". There's the trade federation, taxes, some coup and even force is explained by science. He didn't seem to realise that people generally speaking didn't want the SW universe to be more realistic and detailed. People just wanted a cute good versus evil story.

Also, Lucas probably spent a lof of time in the SW universe in his head throughout the years. That's what happens when you spend so much time planning something. You kinda lose the sight of what matters and what doesn't, and it doesn't help at all that people around you are just licking your ass instead of being more critical.

So those are the reasons why prequels suck, but at least they felt like Star Wars. The Disney shit feels like a soft reboot made by completely different group of people who are just imitating the looks of the originals. Lucas tried to update SW while still making SW. Disney is just shitting out some garbage action scifi movies with a SW paint on while also throwing in some random feminist garbage that doesn't really make any sense, especially when SW was never considered to be a misogynist manly sausagefest.

Only people who think the OT were some kind of ubermensch 10/10 movies think the prequals are shit.

I think the OT are good fun movies but at best a 7/10, they had bad acting and some retarded shit as well. Hell I never understood putting in a character that just makes an annoying fucking sound but all the secret furries seem to love Jewbacca.
To people like me who see flaws in the OT the prequals arent all that much worse. If the OT is 7/10 the prequals are 6/10. They have retarded parts that are worse than anything in the OT yes but those had some dumb parts as well and the prequals also do some things better like lightsaber fights and I like the music a bit more.

I yet have to find one person who doesnt jack off to the OT that thinks the prequals are shit, its really only the fanboys.

I don't really like any of the Star Wars movies personally, but you must be out of your fucking mind if you seriously like Attack of the Clones. Genuinely one of the worst films ever made.

In further defense of the prequels, Lucas was trying to create a digital revolution a few years too early. You see that crazy shit on the Phantom documentary where he's taking acting from earlier takes and pasting it into different scenes and generally just manipulating the hell out of everything. It's one of the reasons why the editing is so awkwafina scenes seem to just end weirdly.

Duel of the Fates kicked ass, though, and is good enough reason for the movies to exist. Rogue One has a decent final action scene but sucks, while Solo and the sequels have nothing. NOT ONE GODDAMN REWATCHABLE ACTION SCENE. The fuck, niggas?

I dislike episode 2 the most but if you fast forward through anakin and padme parts (which is way too much yes) there are still decent parts in there. And confrontation with count dooku is one of the best soundtracks.
