TotalBiscuit never changed my life or got me through a hard time. I often disagreed with many of his opinions about games and any number of other things. But he was a steady, thoughtful, logical voice; someone who placed evidence and understanding before emotion; someone willing to revise or support his thoughts over time as his evidence and understanding increased. I enjoyed the fruits of his labors and the results of his efforts to help people better understand games and gaming as a whole, even when our tastes became too disparate for his videos to show me new games I might enjoy. He became someone who entertained me weekly as a curmudgeonly foil to his friends. He became the man I looked to to test or affirm my thoughts when an issue in the industry arose, because I knew he would put the necessary thought and effort into every video. I owe him a debt for the information that he gave so freely and I hope that this may in some way repay him in death for the endless hours he shared in life.

For some reason people with the fragile egos are most likely the ones that put themselves out there for everyone to see and when they get called out they damage control instead of self reflecting.
