Simply beautiful.
The main problem is that it's just Demo Reel again, just with the Critic this time around.mad bum wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 9:23 amSo I'm going to say that the idea of reenacting new movies for reviews to get around the fair use thing is a good idea, it actually is, the problem though is its really time consuming, expensive, and unless done perfectly its completely shit, or with that RLM type satire charm like this.

Does the Demo Reel connection really matter at this point? It had a few episodes back in 2013. This incarnation of the Nostalgia Critic has been going for four years now.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 4:16 pmThe main problem is that it's just Demo Reel again, just with the Critic this time around.

It matters in so much that Demo Reel failed because everyone involved sucks at comedy. The current stealth sequel works because it's riding on the Nostalgia Critic brand name, but who knows for how long.

Until the Nostalgia Critic ends(which could take decades) or maybe Malcolm leaves. But even then, I can easily see Doge just hiring a new fanboy and fangirl to goof around with because he's too invested in this style.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 4:30 pmIt matters in so much that Demo Reel failed because everyone involved sucks at comedy. You take that back, Ed wood was 1000 better than Doge will ever be since he wasn't a soulless, heartless freak who would sell his own mother like Doge would

The reason Demo Reel failed is mostly down to the premise, Doge and friends reenacting a bunch of movies. Everyone knew it was a bad idea, especially considering how badly it was received in TBF, but they did it anyway because Doge really wanted to. Also, Doge lives in his own little world where he can't be told what to do. According to the commentaries he's apparently a dictator and will tell the actors he'll do their ideas as long as they do one take his way, and even if they screwed up that time, he still uses the take where they do the scene his way. I remember a few times Brad pointed out someone looks directly at the camera in TBF but Doge still used that take in the final cut.

I'd rather watch all of Ed Wood movies in one setting that rewatch something Doge or the other shitstains at CA made as far as movies goOsterzone wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2017 2:38 amI'm not talking about Ed Wood the person, I'm talking about Ed Wood the director of shitty movies.
