Watching old Marvel movies is a mistake. Watched the first Iron Man and again, it's like night and day compared to the current Marble Cream Factory movies. Some wonky CG, but there was an actual Iron Man suit, practical effects, and a director who wanted everything to look realistic and grounded in reality. (In the BTS doc, he says he wanted an IM suit that looked like armor, not a tight chrome spandex, which is what Stark wears in Avengers: Infinity Whore.) It's amazing how fucking bad the current movies are. Iron Man isn't the best superhero movie, but compared to Civil War or Black Panther it's like comparing Schindler's List to Rugrats.

As much as I don't like the later seasons of the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon since Spidey essentially became Andy from that Hey! Andy cartoon, they had a clever solution to his problem : call him Kid Arachnid and later, he dropped the Kid and became "The Arachnid". And Scarlet Spider was Scarlet Spider and they even had that...reverse Spider-man clone guy, Flipside or something?

Also, adopting REEEEEEEEREEEEEEE Wiliams as Iron Heart will be funny as hell given how she's Diversity Hire 101 in real time, right down to how she talks and is an annoying mary sue that everybody hates. Hell, Doom became Iron Man just so the world won't have to suffer.

As for the Bix Noods, they don't give a fuck those hypocritical shitheads. Spawn was a big thing and Luke Cage was awesome in the 70s and 80s, Black Lightning had some great stories back in the day and when Black Panther was Black Ninja Batman, nobody cared. But now that HE IS KANGZ and his country went from 80s-90s Johanessburg with a sensible and stable climate of politics albeit with a slightly archaic succession system(the Chief) to full on WE WUZ KANGZ Nigger Panther with a subhuman accent and having fucked Storm when he was in his 20s while she was 8 just to take her virginity and make him his waife as "Wakandan Tradition".

Good pulpy goodness, delivered fast and cheap. They used to be like that, but I guess they went greedy after the 90s caused their sales to skyrocket.

And for weeb comparison, you can get an entire manga volume for a bit below 6€. More expensive than the average capeshit comic, but you get a lot more pages. Also you know that the story will actually end at some point.

(Dunno how much Western equivalents of Weekly Shounen Jump cost, but it can't be all that much, and you get to check out several different stories.)

Archie Digests that sell for 2 dollars, except their Japanese equivalents sell for 1 dollar but without colours. Hell, the average manga, depending on the publisher and the content for age ratings can go from 6 to 15 euros / dollars while in Japan it's about 5 euro per volume for all manga and the users get their weekly fix of manga from magazines that can range from 300 yen(2.30 euro) for the average person to read some random manga from Shounen Jump or whatever in about 320-330 pages = 14/15 different series or about 800 yen but the difference is that the later ones are usually adult magazines focusing on things like gambling, fishing etc and you have manga like Kaiji serialised in there. And those prices have been fixed for about 30 years as well.

Imagine DC or Marvel releasing such a magazine every week or even every month with their 15 big names, then another magazine with the team ups and their individual series, each book with their own team of writer and basic artist that only handle that one series and don't juggle five every month, and sell them cheaply to gauge the situation, amass fan interest etc and then, select the most popular stories and arcs and colour them, get them to quality paper and sell them as graphic novels / hardbound comics / etc for 20 bucks or whatever price they want and watch them fly off the shelfs. But they'll keep clinging to their current models that only bring them slow and agonizing death, much to everyone's annoyance while they tout their diversity hires and squander talent like Gurihiru, Jim Lee, R.B. Silva etc.

Darkseid is basically Cosmic Satan who wants to upgrade to Cosmic God by getting rid of the competition.

All I got is my faptop and my bed. I do in fact have an Android tablet I was gifted (and a couple of kindles) that I'm trying to move muh mangos onto. It sorta works. Handles animoo okay too but it chokes on my 720p 10 bit cel animated old person shows. It's all gay.
