Flustered Fernando and the Seven Pesos
Re: Flustered Fernando and the Seven Pesos
The company in question, Jasco, has a pretty chequered past. Their previous Kickstarted Megaman board game was heavily criticised for not fulfilling stretch goals, the playing of it being incredibly simplistic/dull and relying heavily on high quality miniatures to interest the player. The current Street Fighter board game seems to have all the hallmarks of the Megaman flub. Joe has claimed that he worked with Jasco on this version and actually got involved because he hated the Megaman board game so much that they contacted him. Considering he's not a board game designer and has no history nor experience in it, that should definitely raise some alarms.

What in the fuck. Shows how much confidence in their shit they must have. In my industry, as a designer, I see a lot ot stuff and I just can't imagine a company fucking teaming up with a youtuber not just as a form of promotion, but also using him basically as a consultant.

Blessed are the shitposters, for they will be called children of the Sperg.

Maybe he is. I can imagine he hasn't opened his mailbox in years and he ignores all twitter mentions except for the ones from his hugbox. Some Sick Fuck wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 7:42 amHe seems to have talent on things like thatGuest wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 5:13 amJoe actually got involved because he hated the Megaman board game so much that they contacted himJust shows you that Joe is either extremely lucky, or he just finds the ultimate chumps to hear him out. If getting job opportunities based on how much you hate something was common, Spoony would be flooded with work all the time

I'm out of the Angry Joe loop, so correct me if I'm wrong.
AJ is basicly promoting (started?) a Street Fighter board game kickstarter or something? And the company behind the game is a shady one?

Basically yes. While Angry Dookie was acting like this is his game, it really isn't. As far as I know, he's not taking any risks other than another blow to his already terrible reputation among anyone with enough working braincells.
The company might not be shady, but they have a history with not delivering on time with previous kickstarters. A lot of projects end up delayed though, so it depends on individual cases whenever it's going to be a disaster or just a time delay. For Joe's sake and all his retarded fans, I'm hoping for a disaster.

If Assiman wasn't so easygoing I'd be annoyed that he can't read a page or two back before asking someone to summarize those pages.
I don't get how a Street Fighter board game can end up being fun, to begin with. At least in a Megaman game you could theoretically make it about collecting the most boss powers, or something. Street Fighter would probably end up being some janky version of Sorry or Trouble but you might get to use special power cards.

I am guessing the primary audience is adult "nerds" aka autists. It's been proven that autists will buy anything and support the most worthless of people.

Anyone remember those crossover videos Ashens and Larry did? Where they would play terrible old board games based on video games, like Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and Zelda?Guest wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 5:13 amThe company in question, Jasco, has a pretty chequered past. This is basically a modern of this, except the license's probably gotten a lot more expensive and they're spending more cash on the presentation.
I think the only way this could work is if you're basically making a card game, or go full-on nerd by making int pen-and-paper.Pepsi Man wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 5:04 pmI don't get how a Street Fighter board game can end up being fun, to begin with. Either way, attaching a fucking expensive board game to this is a bit excessive. You can probably already buy SF2 minis in several sizes and price ranges, if you so desire.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.
