Re: Capeshit thread (comics and movies)
You're right, stark probably builds a time machine or some crazy shit.
Or he teams up with Captain tranny, I mean captain marvel and it goes from there.
there is also a trace of regret on Thanos after all is said and done and he realized he lost everything in the proces. They might use that to make him change his mind or we'd have both sides just time traveling back and forth.
the movie makes it pretty obvious yet all over the internet people seem to have missed the point of strange saying he's seen all the options and this was the only right one.
and im just assuming by now everybody who had any interest in it has already seen it so im not going to bother with spoiler tags, even Ive seen it while I think the entire MCU is meh at best and insultingly dumb and shallow for most movies.

My theory gets into specifics. Feel free to poke holes in it, because it's assuming a number of things anyways....
SpoilerShowAnyway, Strange explores over 14,000,000 timelines in order to find one in which they beat Thanos. My theory is that in each of these timelines, Strange probably does the logical thing on Titan and lets Tony die so that he can continue trying to conceal the Time Stone from Thanos. But we already know that Thanos wins despite this. He finds the Time Stone somehow, and Tony is dead. Thanos continues to get the other stones and kills half the universe, and the remaining heroes and whoever else are unable to reverse things.
So what changes in the "winning" timeline? Well, Thanos still gets the Time Stone, albeit by different means this time. Strange, instead of keeping it hidden, uses it as barter for Tony's life, successfully. The thing that has changed is that Tony lives in this timeline. My theory is that Stark himself is somehow directly or indirectly responsible for Thanos's ultimate defeat. Again, making A LOT of assumptions here.. :/
SpoilerShow
It's actually pretty obvious that's going to happen since he is flat out saying the only way to beat Thanos is to keep Tony alive.

Oh, maybe I misheard it. I thought that Tony asked Strange why he let Thanos have the stone, not why did he save his (Tony's) life. Ffffuck, I'll have to rewatch that scene to be sure. Anyways, yeah, it is rather obvious when you think about it for a second.Poonoo wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 11:48 pmRapeculture wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 10:59 pm

Anywho. The movie gave me one hell of a headache. Too much of.....everything. The romance between Scarlet Tits and Vision had me laughing though.

And yeah that "romance" was cringeworthy, almost as bad as hulk/widow last time

Mark Ruffalo truly was awful in this movie. Dumb. Fucking. Idiot.
Chris Pratt can fuck off.
Kid Spiderman gave a decent performance, specially during his final scene.
Don't hate Robert Downy, but I hate Tony Stark. He turned into this dumb idiot obsessed with saving the world from itself in Civil War when Cap was just plain RIGHT every time.
Thor was in top form. Awesome side plot. You just gotta grin at the Thor character and realize he's the coolest one there.

Was Infinity War made as a Captain Marvel trailer?
And Iron Man will probably die for realz in the second. RDJ's contract only have one movie left in it, I think. He'll want to sacrifice himself so he can be in other movies.
And the "why doesn't he just make x2 resources for everyone!?"-argument; Maybe he can't do it? I learned how the world works in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and you need stuff to make other stuff. Killing them is free.

Then you are seriously underestimating the capabilities of that gauntlet.
They couldve avoided all this overpopulation propaganda bullshit if they just stuck to the comic book version of Thanos where he has a boner for Lady Death and wants to impress her or whatever.

Death's opinion of Thanos's boner for her is interesting and probably right.

He builds a Gurren Lagann suit and goes out Kamina-style.
Define the "resources" you need. Neptune alone has over 300 times the mass of Earth. Just transmutate as desired. And the "why doesn't he just make x2 resources for everyone!?"-argument; Maybe he can't do it? Or hell, convert a sun whose solar system nobody needs. Those fuckers can get ridiculously massive.
