I dont believe in that, I know where the world is heading and that money will be gone in our lifetime.
Every second spend focussing on earning money is a second wasted. I focus my time and energy on love and our father in heaven.

We'll see who is the shortsighted fool then hehe, you spend all your life slaving away working yourself to the bone to gather just that little bit of extra money just for the banks to press a button and delete all those ones and zero's.

In fact anyone with even the slighest graps of economics knows our system is doomed to fail and is already on its last lifeline. There is no more way to fix things, there we're some "fixes" in the last few crisis but those were like putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound.

If I believed in our system or in money Id have a job earning me 250k per year at least, Im in the top 10% smartest people of my country and never even put in any serious effort in school or university. Im just too smart to be fooled by this fake world and wont waste time concentrating on meaningless money.

I'm not even close to working myself to the bone and neither am I slaving for anybody but myself. I'm preparing rather well. Don't think I'm stacking up on money to keep in the bank. I know damn well those numbers may as well disappear any day now.
Thing is, what if they do? How will you stand then? I have enough things I can barter with and the means to defend them. What about you? Got a gun? Property? Stockpiles of stuff you'll need? Physical capability to fend for your life?

As for Donnie Darko; im pretty intersted by it so far but it sure is weeeeeeeeeeeird. And not always in a good way but ill give the film till the end to explain some things.

What I am wondering atm is how this film is viewed by people who are actually on medication themselves, Ive always thought pills are just fucking them up even further and I wonder if they connect to Donnie or this film in a special way and might recognize some of it in their own weird life.

Did christ not say he was coming for the sinners not the saints? We cant write anyone off since they can always repent and come to the holy father at a later point in life. Why is someone scum just because theyre muslim actually? I dont see any quality in being racist.

And its pretty obvious to any christian that this worldly life is just a lesson and a test. Not sure what you mean by fighting for tbh, what do I need to fight for? I have everything I need in this life and Im close to being fully prepared for what comes next.

I dont think your life is sad, only if you really feel that working is that important but I dont know that just from a few posts. But then again when you say "everything that you have and more" that does sound like materialism is controlllng your life.

If Im a loser am glad to be a loser lol, I can go into any job the best offices in the world or the conveyor belt and be apreciated all the same. I can connect to people from all walks in life all races and all religions so if being able to find love and friendship whereever I go is being a loser fine, Im the biggest loser in the world!

I cant say for sure since the film starts with him already on pills but I think those are causing the schizophrenia. Im at a part where his doctor says to increase the dosage so if he goes crazy now that might be the msg of the movie. The pills that get pushed in our society make these kids freak out and do insane shit (school shootings etc) instead of helping them.

I think nothing was ever wrong with Donnie but that his parents decided to put him on pills just because he behaved like a kid. Isnt that what burgerland is known for?? A kid asks a few questions too many in class and suddenly they think he has ADD and needs some ritalin right.

The parents are beyond weird too but I cant make up a final conclusion until the movie is finished because Im not sure how real this world we're seeing is.

Enough post breaks too, time to finish the movie.

Hmmm in the end Im not sure what to think. I like the message of the movie and I like the way it was told. Then again it really was a whole movie of guessing "is this what is happening??" and then in the end its a case of "aah this aint bad but I could never have seen it coming".
Now I dont need movies to lead me to the answer but now I wonder about the meaning of the english teacher, the fat asian girl and mostly patrick swayze.
Does the ending mean his house wont get burned down and he wont be arrested as the kiddy porn pedo??

My interpretation of the ending was:

In the end it was better for him to die from the jet engine so he would not kill anyone (frank) and god let him time travel in his mind to see the future so he would realise dying alone is better than dying a killer or whatever.

Donnie is now in heaven instead of being a killer doomed for hell.
