Almost all of the "rage" in his videos has been forced going back quite a while now.ChangeTheChunnel wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 8:42 pmHe sounds tired. The “anger” sounds forced too, nothing like when he was younger.
People like to use James’s minimal use of AVGN to show how much better he is than Doge, but it wouldn’t surprise me if James wanted to retire the character forever.

I liked the part where he was telling younger him to stop playing these games, that they will ruin his life.
Almost like he partially wishes he never did avgn because he couldve had a normal life with a normal film job.

Could be. When these YTers talk honestly about their jobs, they usually mention being worried that the next video they upload will be their last. They make it look so fun and easy, but I bet a lot of them worry about paying billth and having to get a real day job when the YT/Patreon/whatever bucks aren’t enough anymore.
I can’t blame them, though. I’d jump at the opportunity to be my own boss, but I’d make a safety net first. You’d be surprised to hear how many of these guys can’t afford to build up a basic savings account.
Some of these guys started in their early 20s, so there’s a good chunk of their lives spent away from real social interaction. Imagine their future job interviews.

Re: The Angry Video Game Cuck
I've said it before, but his early videos were games that actually pissed him off as a kid. His was channeling real childhood rage.
I think he eventually burned though all of those and now just goes mostly on viewer requests. That's why you get him doing Sonic 06 and then when the Sonic Autists screeched at him that the episode wasn't good enough he had to do a part 2. I really don't think he actually gave a shit about Sonic.
This episode was not a viewer request though. He just happened to discover Earthbound when he bought a SNES Mini a while ago.

Japan is wrong. It's the best game of the trio in terms of story and mechanics.AssimanReturns wrote: ↑Thu Apr 26, 2018 11:04 amMother 3 wasn't brought to the west probably because it got a lackluster reception in Japan. The fans of Mother 1 and 2 called it a flat out of piece of shit game over there.
But then again, has Nintendo ever cared about their fans tho.

To me they don't sound that far off...

I’m sure Nintendo wants to bury this failure of a game in the darkness forever. I bet they’re thinking on the inside, “Dammit, mind your own business and don’t bring this game back up!”
Agreed. When I look back it was so cheap and such a lame sob story that I was incredibly disappointed. There might be fans overseas who are excited about it, but I bet they’ll be extremely disappointed once they actually play it. I feel bad for them in a way, actually.
Source: https://earthboundcentral.com/2013/04/m ... revisited/Mother 3 is such a serious piece of garbage that it might be better for them NOT to play it. I was a fanboy of the game since it was announced for the N64, but the game turned out so horrible that it made me loathe Itoi
