Re: Movie Thread
Having the Space Jockeys be basically human's ancestors instead of fat elephant-like dudes was a huge mistake. Takes away from the "Space is a big and scary place that doesn't give a single fuck about humanity" feel the franchise originally had.

As a mock-up scientific name for them? Yeah, sure. There's a reason why people actually just call them bugs or xenos.
Honestly, is "Yautja", the actual name for the species the Predator belongs to, any better? I think it's even worse, which is why in our clan we used to call them "frog cunt faces" (or "Froschfotzenfresse" in glorious Kraut).

Re: Movie Thread
I'm still surprised the Predators have a name that is actually pronouncable by humans and doesn't consist of click noises and other gibberish.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 KICKS ASS! It's been ages since I had this much fun watching a movie. It's basically a bunch of lunatics(a Vietnam vet, a retard, a sheriff with nothing to lose and a jaded smalltime businessman obsessed with the past) coming together and bouncing off of one another. Great cinematography, brilliant effects by Tom Savini and never a dull moment. Highly recommend it.

The Evil Dead remake. Not bad. Not bad at all. I'm not sure the original really needed an update yet, but it was certainly done well here.
Bruce Campbell's cameo at the end is, true to him, goofy as shit.

Re: Movie Thread
Would rather look at Jane Levy for two hours than Bruce Campbell. Not gonna lie. Too bad there isn't going to be a sequel because of that goofy SJW show.
The first CG Resident Evil movie (the one with Claire in the airport) is fucking boring as hell. Very bad. The second with Leon in Eastern Europe is pretty action packed though. There's even a cool lady fight at the end between Ada Wong and the MILF president.
The recent Alice movie (The Final Chapter) is the laziest sequel I've ever seen. Not only does it completely contradict its own lore, including an entire movie's plot, but it's choppy as hell and so dark it's almost impossible to see. It's also NOT the final chapter, as the ending sets up more Alice movies. It also has Ruby Rose in it, who may be the dykiest, most punchable person I've ever seen. God I hate her.

Re: Movie Thread
Isn't it basically a running joke that the RE movies don't give a single fuck about their own continuity?
Also: Never trust a horror movie sequel with the word "final" in its tagline to actually keep that promise.
And isn't Paul W. S. Anderson currently trying to get his hands on the Castlevania franchise? I'm so looking forward to Alice Belmont, who is probably also FemAlucard, because why not.

Re: Movie Thread
After his last two RE movies, Anderson is the last director I want on Castlevania, unless he goes hard-R with it and there's lots of Milla full-frontal to be had. (Unlikely, as she has been progressively more covered up since they married.)
Alice was fine for the first movie, a prequel, but the series really should have been about Sienna Guillory's Jill. I just hope Capcom boots Anderson and starts over. Rebecca Chambers hasn't been covered yet.
