I actually feel really bad for all the people caught in the crossfire on this, leaving the site that I'm sure some of them waited years to be a part of because of social pressures. No I don't think CA is any mark of quality now a days but it was something meaningful to them for whatever reason. Yes, I am glad that Jewwario got exposed but from what I'm seeing it looks like most of the CA people behind the doc knew about it already. Everybody got mad at CA's non apology but business wise it makes sense if they admit they're wrong it opens them up for liability. Now I'm not defending CA there very well might have been/is a lot of ego and unprofessionalism from behind the scenes but the people railing against that unprofessionalism aren't looking very professional themselves. Especially Marz with that song that imo makes her look vindictive and pathetic. If the current CA producers were suffering in the same way or worse and they brought this up to try and support them and show solidarity that'd be one thing, but like every one has been saying it just seems like they are retroactively pissed at management for not making them more famous or successful. Most of these issues were already out in the open except for the Jewwario thing which just made the complaints redundant to me. I'm glad Jewwario's victims were finally given a forum to speak and he was exposed but it seemed to destroy more people than it ended up helping. From my perspective at least it seems like those involved in starting it don't care about the people that this has destroyed and has taken their platform away, however shaky it was. That, and I was geniunely pissed at Lindsay as she was bemoaning that rape scene for years and how it offends her sensitivity, yet when given the opportunity to have it taken out she's ambivalent? Unless the screenshots were not the end of it and he pressured her some other way, but i don't really follow any of their twitters so i don't know if she tried to back pedal or offer a different side to her story. The only meaningful thing to come out of this crap was just a symptom of this document and not the reason for writing it, in fact they weren't even the ones who outed him so they couldn't even do that right!

It's one of those things where I'm actually not sure who would win. Yeah, CA did a LOT of shady shit back in the day, but they were never employees, they were volunteers. Also, they keep running their mouths and even a rookie lawyer could easily put together a case for jealousy or greed. The fact that their patreons are bringing in shit, their videos are getting way less views, all CA's side would have to do is point out that these nobodies were only ever famous because of Doge and how much attention they get every time they bash the site.

Also, this would be a jury of normal people that they'd have to convince, not their autistic fan base who slobber over their every word. They'd need a real argument beyond "Michaud was a meany head" but aside from the anniversary specials, they don't have much. In fact, their best bets would be Iron Liz and Orlando, who actually were injured, but Orlando is Doge's friend and Liz is openly libertarian so I doubt they'd approach either.

Is there a statute of limitations on injuries caused during a work shoot?
