This is the low standard they have set for themselves. Putting out content regularly (doing their job) is now a rarity and praiseworthy.These pigs get lazier every year. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together could figure out the winning formula: Keep putting out the same shit and these mentally ill fans will continue to watch your vids and throw money at you.

That has always been the secret to success. Regular, not spammy, videos are key. If you want to do something different, do it additionally.

People are incredibly patient and understanding, I'd even say stupidly so, of entertainment, though. People will wait a very, very long time, generally speaking. For YT, it's even okay if you upload only once a month or even less. Just you better deliver accordingly when you do. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with an audience but you may not like the very desperate ones that will hang around. See Spoony for that one.

The problem is work ethics. We've seen the Patreon effect wonderfully with Matthewmatosis and YMS. Once they don't have to work a regular job, they don't get their shit together anymore. They enjoy the freedom but don't realize the responsibility. There's nobody kicking your ass when you're only working for yourself. There's also nobody covering your ass either.

Especially YMS is STILL incredibly bad about that. Any regular job would've had him fired ten times over by now. Any regular self-employment would have him be bankrupt. He escaped that fate for now but he's short-sighted. All the money he isn't earning now, all the audience he isn't building up now won't come later on either.
He's no PewDiePiw that kept going hard earning so much money he doesn't have to give a fuck anymore. He's also no JonTron who earned really, really well and is unique enough to afford months of a break. When wannabe dogfucker's lucky streak breaks, he's fucked.
