Except you have samples of what the politics of Generation Z will look like, all the Parkland kids are Generation Z.

Re: Movie Thread
I agree about this. I let myself get hyped for pacific rimjob. "Oh man, a cool kaiju movie like them dogzkilla films I grew up with! There will be sick robots and monsters! I'm not sure whether it will be more kaiju or mecha anime, but it should be sick, right?"AngrySpoonySnob wrote: ↑Tue Mar 27, 2018 4:51 pmIll never understand movie fans.
People act like pacific rim 2 is shit, well ok I can believe that but all these reviewers act like the first movie was good lol, to me the first pacific rim was utterly dumb and bland as fuck so when I hear them describe the second one I think mmm sounds just like the first one then but it always turns out that its a tasteless hypefollowing faggot who liked the first one.
Just proves it all the more that theyre indeed pathetic hypefollowers, second movie is equal in quality but no hype and suddenly everybody hates it XD
Well, the movie was terrible. Awful acting, pretty piss-poor story (not in a funny way either) and generally a bunch of grimdark fake nostalgia bullshit. I think I enjoyed one of the fights. Pacific Rim was a movie direct-marketed at people with exactly my interest in giant robot dumb shit and big monsters, and it sucked ass. DaiGuard was way better.
Shit, you could watch some old 0079 with garbage animation and have a better time, because at least the story and characters were interesting.

Re: Movie Thread
0079's primitive animation still provides us with one of the greatest scenes in the history of animu:

As far as James Bond movies go, my firm favourite is From Russia With Love. Love the classy spy thriller feel and how it lacks a typical arch nemesis for Bond to go up against.

Holy shit, you do indeed have a taste. OHMSS is objectively and scientifically-measurably the greatest Bond film, but FRWL isn't far from it.

I quite like OHMSS, but it lacks Connery's charisma as a lead. And honestly, I'd have loved to see him try and act vulnerable.
Though I do appreciate what Lazenby brought to the part.

Cucuruz Doan's Island gets a lot of undeserved shit. Yes, the animation is awful even by First Gundam standards, but the story was pretty good. Much better than the previous episode which Tomino penned himselfGuest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 29, 2018 11:48 pm0079 animation isn't that bad for it's era. (please don't post Doan's Island)

Most entertainment I get out of movies these days is to spark a joint and just watch it for comedy. Just laugh at how ridiculous it all is or how people can enjoy crap like that.
Pacific rim uprising (pirated a decent enough copy) doesnt even entertain me in that way, its ridiculous yes but so dumb and uninspired there isnt even anything to laugh at. Seems like a 0 effort movie, the acting is horrible, the CGI is about 200 times worse than the first film and the plot is boring and unimaginative, it also contradicts the first movie.
One thing I did laugh at was Fin's accent, dude keeps switchin up between american and british or something inbetween.
When he speaks about his father in the movie suddenly he speaks 4 times more british lol its almost like those are the moments he remembers shit im supposed to play idris albás son better do the british thing.

I finally saw Dredd. I don't know why it took me this long but I really dug it. Felt like a really good peak John Carpenter movie.
