But if you think of historically great leading actors, who is the Harrison Ford of the Superhero genre? Who is the Arnold Schwarzenegger? There is none, and they don't want them. You can't replace those kinds of actors because they're too unique. Instead, you get a generic pretty boy like Chris Pratt and make the comic relief computer-generated.

I'd say on Robert Downery Jr is the only one who counts, they can't replace him as Iron Man and they damn well know it which is why they pay him a shit ton of money.

Though that's also why there are no more Iron Man movies and he is only in the big crossover movies that make a billion dollars, they have a higher profit margin on the other movies with a generic actor even if it makes slightly less money.

Basically, Westerns were really popular when they were popular because they said something about the American culture. Then Vietnam came along and for whatever reason the culture changed.
I would assume that the reason capeshit films are so popular right now is because they say something about our culture. Maybe it's that we're a culture of manchildren. I dunno. But, eventually, the culture will change. Either the manchildren will have to grow up or else they'll be replaced by a generation of non-manchildren. In any case the culture will change and superhero films won't really have anything to do with our culture any more. Hence they'll become obsolete.

Like what happened to Spoony? Getting fired from a job his dad got him for being a lazy shit? There's no job security for that. Explain trust fund kids, despite being set up for success so well that they can easily afford to fuck around in university and get a worthless degree, being the current ultra failures they are.
Seriously, I just don't see them breaking through the PC bullshit. The current cunts grew up in the 80s-90s, where PC was not taken seriously and was an insult. Yet here we are. How does the current growing up generation even stand a chance?

I think one of the reasons that the Soviet Union ultimately collapsed is that Russians born in the '50s and '60s were getting tired of the Soviet Union's shit. They weren't concerned, as Gorbachev was, with making Communism 'work' for people, but rather tearing the whole thing down.

I'm not saying that next generation couldn't end up being more conservative. I just think it's a bit premature to make that determination. The 'journalists' are making these claims because they asked a bunch of school age children how they felt about gay marriage, drug use and something else. Of course children, when they're under the control of their parents and under peer pressure, are going to respond conservatively when asked about these topics. The simple fact is that Generation Z has no voting record and they haven't been through the indoctrination of University and come out the other side. We don't even know if they're really going to University. Until we know all these things I don't think we can make a definitive assessment as to whether the next generation will be more conservative or more liberal than the current one
