Re: Movie Thread
The Incredibles still holds up well, but Brad Bird deserves most of the credit for that.

Cars is the Mahabharata of CGI movies.

Lately Pixar haven't set the world on fire like they used to. When Wall.E came out they were seen as cinematic gods who can't make a bad movie other than CarsJL Unlimited wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 1:18 pmGuest posting was a mis-ACTUAL LEE, they’re kinda overrated. Animation spergs like Mr Enter treat the Cars franchise as Pixar’s only mistake, but their fuckups go all the way back to Bugs Life.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 7:51 amThis just in: Pixar sucks and so do live-action movies directed by Pixar losers.

Yet they keep making Cars movies. Disney even did an even-worse spinoff called Planes.
Is Spoony dead yet?

Re: Movie Thread
Honestly, Cars isn’t that much worse than some of Pixar’s other forgettable works(like Ratatouille). Hell, compare it to other CGI films like the Ice Age movies, and it looks like Fantasia.

This. People hold up the Cars series as examples of bad Pixar movies, but most of them are as bad as Cars.JL Unlimited wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 11:47 pmHonestly, Cars isn’t that much worse than some of Pixar’s other forgettable works(like Ratatouille). Re: Movie Thread
Pixar has no point in existing when Disney and everyone else just shits out CG films now.

Yes, I think its bad rap is quite exaggerated, especially compared to all the Trek movies that came after Star Trek VI. Shatner wanted to do a "Special Edition" of it and fix the bad FX, but Paramount refused. It's a real shame.
