Software Engineer, on his level, means script kiddie. Grunt, bitch work, like hell he will be designing an app from scratch, he'll be the guy who recycles code or just runs to steal from stack exchange. We've all had that guy but, at least, our guys were honest and "in between jobs" trying to get some resumé experience or doing a master's on the side. No one came thinking they were going to invent the billion dollar app.
