I read somewhere editors and producers knew Dargonball was turning into shit but they just couldn't stop or take a break simply because the show was making so much money. PEOPLE'S LIVES WERE DEPENDING ON IT.

Even worse, they run out of original mango material when they were airing DBZ, and they had to make lengthy fight scenes and filler episodes. I'm not sure if that's the case with international version though (I stopped watching when the show started to take itself far too seriously so idk about later episodes).

So bad/not bad is Attack on Titan? I was gifted a whole bunch of volume yesterday and i'm hoping it's tolerable

That was intentional since the manga went absolutely fucking no where and did that Lost shit. They answered questions with more questions and kept stringing you along to make more shekels. While some contrarians were shitting on Attack on Titan when it got big, half the people who hated it had read the manga and knew the mysteries were going no where and eventually became a convoluted mess.

They probably saw that reaction and milked that fucking cash cow as long as they could, if they released Season 2 early people would be pissed. You know how they keep teasing something in Eren's dad's basement? They don''t reveal that shit until volume 22. Season 1 ended with Volume 8, so to find out what the fucking origin is of the world they are in would take you until nearly the end of the 3rd fucking season.

I'm glad I stopped at around 17. The manga was supposed to end at 20, but he had to milk that cash cow because it got too popular. Season 2 was always going to bomb, from a business standpoint from the anime production side delaying it as long as humanly possible was the best thing they could have done since the Manga was already fucked by the time they would have made another season.

The only thing I can think of that applies is the stupid davy back fight. But it was more like a sports contest. It was still stupid though because the straw hats accepted the challenge for no raisin even though the other side were very obviously planning to cheat and stack the deck.

Just tell them to fuck off and kill them dead if they get in your face about it. At the very least, Zoro or somebody should have floated the idea as a possibility. "It's the rules" doesn't mean shit when we're talking about fucking PIRACY and you know the other side will break the rules anyway.

It was also retarded when Luffy took their flag for no raisin at the end. The flag had no value and was never used again for anything.

It was always obvious from reading wikis and shit that Attack in Titan was terrible. If you compare it to another one-season wonder, Dead Man Wonderland, that series had actual answers and a story with a conclusion. But it never got a second season.

The state of anime now is such that if something isn't a huge success, it won't get another season. Titan obviously was big for the first season, when it was able to get by on style and those unanswered questions were teased to be addressed later. But I checked the wiki for it early on to make sure I wasn't missing anything and I wasn't. It really is retarded and nothing is answered in a satisfying way.

I tried to read the manga, but it was shit imo. The art wasn't special and I couldn't get into it.

TBH your dime-a-dozen shounen mango like yuyu hakusho and shaman king beat the pants off attack on titan. Which is sad.

Bleach is still worse though. Bleach is worse than everything. It might legit be the worst shounen manga to be so popular.
