They only picked him because he looked the most like Young Harrison Ford, didn't they? Unless they went with someone with a completely different skin color, I'm pretty sure the audience would appreciate it more if the actor could actually fucking act.

He looks nothing like Ford and is like six inches shorter. Donald Glover is also a manlet and like a decade older than the original Calrissian was. The whole cast is a joke.

This whole TLJ fiasco has really been bringing me down. I feel like that South Park episode where everyone witnessed Indiana Jones get raped. But it's like NOT seeing the movie is making me imagine it in my mind over and over and obsessing over it. I'm probably gonna have to "watch" it "somehow" and get it over with.

George Lucas already kinda ruined it for me with the prequels. He demonstrated that he was clueless on what it was about Star Wars that people liked. So I was initially happy and hopeful about him selling Star Wars to someone else.

Disney seemed an odd choice (why not 20th Century Fox?), but he did have some connections with the company with Star Tours. Everybody was saying this was a great thing because look at how great they were handling the Marvel movies.

It's really too bad that the sale to Disney and the creation of the new trilogy happened to coincide with the rise of SJW politics. If not for that, Kathleen Kennedy probably wouldn't have been hired (token female) and we wouldn't had politics take priority over creating good characters.
