Patreon had a loophole where trolls can pledge outrageous amounts and Patreon wouldn't kick them off because it would only charge people at the end of the month. The result is now actual donators are just canceling their pledges and the creators aren't happy about that.

Its more than just 2%.

Those $1 and $2 pledges phelan was bitching about were going to cost the people making the pledges about $1.50 or $2.50. The person making the pledge, not the person getting the money.

This is why people are canceling pledges.
If youre a fuck pledging $1 to 20 different nobodies, you would now be charged $30 instead of $20.

Patreon is now adding a tax to the gross contribution of the suckers? So if you see a 1 USD pledge, actually, 1.02 USD will be susbstracted from your account or is it the other way, where pledging 1 USD will give the autist 0.98?
