So apparently the GunnVerse is gonna repeat Marvel's mistake by spreading their continuity over movies and streaming series, all but guaranteeing that future movies will require prior knowledge from series that no one has watched.

Some of these projects are better off as shows, others are better off as movies. Of some of the shit I’ve seen, Hawkeye would’ve been better as a movie, and the biggest problem with Eternals is it feels like there’s several hours missing.

I mention Moon Knight because that MCU show is a fucking snooze fest, it is so padded.

No doubt the box office for Suupes would make these executives happier if it were closer to a billion, but it is approaching breaking even, and closing around 700-750, even 800 mil is totally achievable. Theres a compelling argument to be made that Superhero fatigue is settling in, the projections for Fantastic Four are lower than Superman, and several of these projects are getting lapped by vidya adaptations.

There’s also an argument that brandwise, DC wasn’t in stellar shape coming into this movie. Their last five projects have included moments like Ezra Miller putting a baby in a microwave, deepfake Christopher Reeve and Joker getting assraped in prison.

It could also be both, which would make lulling people back in a landscape where the Zelda movie could outperform the next Avengers a dubious proposition.

Why wouldn't Zelda outperform the Avengers? It's a household name, and the silver screen hasn't exactly been flooded with traditional fantasy flicks.

Mario did really well. Anyway, Capeshit is just too expensive to produce and feasibly make a profit from these days.

Though the capeshit in question wasn’t the strongest stable, you had Ezra Miller puts a baby in the microwave; the worst Marvel movie period, Ant Man 3, and four other projects between the two studios that flopped.

Five Nights at Freddy’s lost to Deadpoo the following year, you could argue that isn’t as strong an IP.
