Metropolis (2001)
(Or "Robotic Angel" in Germany, because the license holder of the original silent film didn't want Fritz Lang's sci-fi classic to be associated with foul weeb smut.)

It's been decades since I've first heard about this movie, but it was only recently that I was able to actually watch it - and it's Genderswap Astro Boy in the Roaring Cyberpunk '20s.

• The titular Metropolis is fucking gorgeous. A dystopian Art Deco nigthmare seemingly proportioned for giants, making all the characters tiny in establishing shots.
• '50s-style character designs look rad with state-of-the-art animation.
• The numerous worker robots somehow manage to look both goofy and creepy.
• Dat jazz soundtrack.

I could go into the story or individual characters, but the main selling point IMO is Rock. Dude is based and redpilled af, and causes pretty much all "Oh shit!" moments because he has no patience and solves every problem by pumping it full of lead
