Things must be really dire if they even entertain the possibility of not turning the X-Ma'am into a tortured allegory for the queer and marginalized.
Wake up, sheeple. Troons don't have lazor eyes, and muslims can only blow up once.

How very problematic of Bob Iger, he's not being a good ally for his customers. The LGBQAI+ is his customer base, right?CuckTurdginson wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 6:46 amThere's a rumor that Bob Iger and Kevin Faggy are butting heads over what the inevitable X-Men movie should be about.
Iger wants it to be an event action movie, Faggy wants it to be about 'social commentary.'
He has to pretend playing ball with Trump and his base for four years, then when President Newsom gets instated he goes back to pandering the fag brigade as usual.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 7:25 amThings must be really dire if they even entertain the possibility of not turning the X-Ma'am into a tortured allegory for the queer and marginalized.

>thinking anybody that tried to Weekend at Bernie's Joe will win in four years or even survive the primary
I see the magical thinking has already taken root, second you all realize the nominee could be JD Couchfucker or Pedo Gaetz or Marjorie Troonler Greene.
Anyway, I'm sure this is all connected to the fact that Iger doesn't want more fucking reshoots ballooning the budget. These faggots always go in wanting to make a movie about Reddits favorite issues, and I'm sure the important shit gets forgotten. 'Wait, I forgot to turn the focus on, better reshoot it.'

BATMAN (1989)
I rewatched this. It's been a few years, but I'm ancient enough to have seen this on its opening weekend in 1989 and I know it well and have a nostalgia boner for it. Here are some random thoughts.
- Is this the only Batman movie where he gets laid? I can't remember any of the others pulling that off. While Christian Bale spends two movies pining for a woman who doesn't want him, Michael Keaton takes Kim Basinger to bed on their first date.
- Tim Burton's (and production designer Anton Furst's) Gotham City is still the best one on film, I think, even if it's an obvious studio set. All of the action in the city seems to take place on the same three blocks! We see the "Monarch Theatre" in the background, like, fifty times.
- The script is garbage and I suspect the movie started shooting before it was finished. That's the only way to explain the nonsensical moment when Alfred takes Vicky Vale down to the Batcave and gives away Bruce Wayne's secret. He's only known this woman for a few days, Alfred!
- I also don't buy Michael Keaton as someone who can beat up three guys at once and hold a guy up by his collar at the edge of a tall building like Batman does in his intro scene.
- Still, I kinda like this movie. It benefits from watching it big and loud. The grandeur of it and Danny Elfman's booming music steamrolls over the film's logical failures. I have a decent home theater set-up and I just got the 4K disc, which looks and sounds great.
- That said, I hate that bullshit where The Joker was the killer of Bruce Wayne's parents.
- And Tim Burton is a shitty director of action scenes.
- But I like the parade scene toward the climax. It looks like a live-action cartoon.
- On another note, the original trailer kicks ass. It makes this movie look like the most action-packed thing you'll ever see in your life!

Re: Capeshit thread (comics and movies)
The best thing about Batman '89 and Dick Tracy '90 is that they actually feel like live action comic book movies.
Aside from the campy '60s Batman nearly all capeshit before or since tries to play it as "what if 'X' happened in the real world?????"
