Ah wow, didn’t know they resorted to filler. That’s never a good sign. I kinda like the idea of RWBY crashing and burning though, or being taken over by glorious Nippon, I remember on podcasts the staff were highly against that.

Speaking of Fagtroon, my goddaughter got me to watch the season premiere of Miraculous Ladyboy, and I was kinda shocked. They upgraded the CGI and animation as well as character designs so they don’t look like absolute dogshit creepy dolls, and it seems like they’re putting more money or talent into it. She’s pretty much done with the series as I’ve said before, but she watched out of curiosity and wanted me to see.

Also related to this thread, I showed her a picture of Taka and jokingly said never trust this man even if he offers to dress as Loki. She said he looked like an alcoholic burnout Grima Wormtongue who’s on a list. I’m a proud godfather. My little shit poster is growing up.

I honestly thought the trailers looked okay for the time, but when the actual show came out I was like "What the fuck is this, I didn't ask for some shitty school drama, I wanted a decent cartoon-y action show", and gave up after volume 1 because it sucked so much.

The Red and White trailers were okay with good music, but when Black dropped with its shit voice acting and knockoff Vergil I got a bad feeling. Then Yellow sealed the deal for me that it’d be mediocre. On one hand it’s cool that a big nerd like Monty Oum got to make his own series with mostly independence, but it just wasn’t great ever when he was alive, cue stupid synchronized school dance scene and other cringe. Then he died and the shilling got worse.

They wanted to extend the series for as long as possible, even as the ship was sinking.
The "official" excuse was that they can't do both character and plot development at the same time (which is one hell of a thing to just admit as a writer), so they made this filler to have nothing but "character development" (aka one of the most obnoxious ships getting canonized, and Ruby getting the sads to the point she accidentally wins with attempted suicide because that's deep, man).
