I agree that people call water-related geographic features beautiful - a beautiful lake, river, waterfall, a gorgeous beach, a fjord,... even when coming out of a drought, people will usually refer to the flowing waters as "blessed", "welcome", "relief", etc. "Beautiful water" is a new Trumpism, at least for me.
