Honestly I was kinda surprised hearing that Hades was from the same guys, since Supergiant Games disappeared from my radar completely after their second title Transistor left pretty much everyone underwhelmed.

Transistor looks like the least gay of their games, although I still don't really understand what the point of that game is or why anyone would play it. It's some kind of weird top-down rpg where you only control one character in an even stupider version of RTwP iirc.

According to the negative reviews on Steam it's EU funded, and the dev is a kraut Phil Fish who never learnt to shut the fuck up about his hate for conservatives and white people like he/him, and goes into ban sprees when someone calls he/him out.

The only real similarity with Gothic - despite boasting about being inspired by it - is having to go to trainers to learn shit with the points you get by leveling up.
Otherwise it's just le 2d survival goyslop with boring, ultra easy combat.
